Joy Harris-Bird holds a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University. She is Kindergarten teacher, children's book author, entrepreneur, and literacy advocate.

Her love for writing began at an early age as she loved reading and also writing her own stories. She began blogging in 2017 and later wrote her first children's book in 2019. She is now a best-selling author and business owner. She creates children's books to teach children the beauty of being themselves. Her books include Zoey The Great, Different Like Me, and My Friend Gru. She has also published a prayer book and devotional.

Mrs. Harris-Bird is also the CEO of Bright Light Publishing, and co-founder/editor of Token Magazine.
